The evening of July 4.th in the new Concert Hall of the Academy a new Renaissance style organ has been inaugurated by Edoardo Bellotti performing a recital.
Attending the concert was the Regional Minister on Culture and a number of local and regional Authorities  and a distinguished crowd of musicians and musicologists.
The voice of the organ is perfectly in line with the  historical renaissance features and perfectly fitting with the  performance of the classical renaissance and baroque Italian repertoire: this organ is completing the variety of organs owned by the Academy allowing the Academy seminars to deal with this type of repertoire.

The German barque style organ Ghilardi 1992, placed in the church of Smarano recently restored after more than 2 years of silence, has been disassembled to provide accurate cleaning and repair damages incurred during the heavy restoration works in the church.
This was a unique chance to provide a complete revision of the instrument in order to comply to the most recent findings regarding the north German baroque organ building criteria: a suggestion to proceed this way came time ago from Hans Davidsson and Harald Vogel.
The consulting by Munetaka Yokota was precious to the organ builder Giovanni Pradella and his staff to achieve the objective to update the instrument.
The pressure of the organ has been reduced from 72 to 65 mm and all stops have been revoiced accordingly.
A new stop has been added to Hauptwerk (Dulzian 16") and a new Vox humana 4" has replaced the previous reed of the Positive
The pedal Trombone has been updated completely.
The organ had been thoroughly tested by Edoardo Bellotti playing a recital last May 18th and now is ready to offer extended features for the coming Academy.
