 “Bernardo Pasquini and his time”

Bernardo Pasquini, one of the most famous  composers, performers and teacher of the Baroque Era, died in Rome on 22 November 1710. The Associazione Culturale Eccher wish to celebrate the anniversary with several events: among them, the International Symposium on May 27-30 and the Summer Academy 2010.  Both are focused on this very important but not jet very well known musician. During the Summer Academy, Pasquini organ and harpsichord works, as well as his pedagogical documents and essays, will be studied and compared with other baroque composers like Frescobaldi and Bach. The following masterclasses, seminars and lectures will be activated.

Active participants: max 15 (Application with a program of prepared pieces and curriculum) a letter of recommendation of main Teacher is required for new applicants.

Passive participants: max 10
